Charitable Causes

We do like to support a charitable cause here at the Marlboro. As well as our Charity Golf Day and supporting the causes above, the team have also been involved in Movember raising several hundred pounds for the Mens Prostate & Testicular Cancer Charity.

We have also had many staff members take part in charitable events. The last few years have seen manager Shaun Hatton, Lloyd Hatton & Sam Dalkins take part in the Weymouth & Portland Lions Club Christmas Day Harbour Swim.

In 2013 one of our Shift Managers Nathan Wood ran the Virgin London Marathon in support of another local charity Weldmar Hospicecare Trust raising over £3000 in the process.

The Marlboro Restaurant is also very supportive of the RNLI and has maintained a charity collection pot on the counter of the takeaway since we first opened.

Congratulations to Marlboro Restaurant employees Zack Phillips & Jason Hoskins who took part in the Action Van Challenge – a 16 Mile Triathlon for Sports Relief 2014. They completed the event in a little over 2 hours, raising to date, £353.50 in the process. for more info click here. Unfortunately due to illness within the team, the event has had to be postponed until last Saturday (5th April). Well done lads, good effort.
